New owner is super rude. Tge Young Waitress is nice. I feel sorry for her. Dont go there. The new owner did not get the meat right and became argumentative with us over her mistake. The previous owner was pleasant and the food was excellent. That is not the case anymore.

The best kung pao chicken ever no where else Makes it as good anywhere N reading many of the reviews and it’s with bratty obnoxious kids and Karen / Kevin parents that are as obnoxious and entitled as their kids lol! I’ve been eating here since I was kid and didn’t like Chinese food used to eat McDonald’s next door while my family eats here and then tried it as a kids and was blown away the food is literally the best Chinese food I’ve eaten and I’ve tried everywhere in Santa Barbara nowhere compares I haven’t tried the others in Oxnard and Ventura but just on pictures alone looking they don’t look as good as hunan garden

First and last time going. Resturant from the outside is really nice. Clean interior. Food: The food was not that good. From all the things we ordered one item was okay. Service: Young female waitress was friendly and just really nice 5 🌟 for her. The second female i think the owner, confront us on WHY we didnt tip on the recipe. Not everyone likes to tip on the card, i personally like to tip cash! So i found it rude that she confronted my partner about it in that instant of giving her the signed recipe. She asked what was wrong with the service? The food? Not letting my partner explain, since she clearly was so curious then I explained that what we ordered pic of the menue was not the same as what was given to us, she continued asking about the service to my partner. We left, I personally just wanted to tip the waitress that sat us at the table but she wasnt on the floor of the restaurant. Aybe she was in the back? But honestly it wasnt good food, everything was soggy even things that we're supposed to be crispy. I was hoping to try a few more items and give this place a better review but I won't be going back.

Food was fresh very simple but still tasty. When the servers got your order & served you,it was like okay you're done.No check ups. It got kind of busy after we got there. Prices were good compared to most places. It came with egg drop soup. I had Kun Pao 3 flavor I believe w/ fried rice. Ice tea.

Hunan Garden has been here for decades and is still one of my favorites. The flavors here are so wonderful, so explosive.. my food soul was so happy. Everything I ordered was fantastic.. You can't go wrong.. like always my brothers and sisters happy good eats and God bless..
